The gold itself is produced to extensive criteria ensuring that both the miner and their community benefit from the beautiful resource that they have at their fingertips. With a fair price being paid for the metal along with a premium that goes to developing the mining communities.
However, it isn’t just the miners that benefit from the fairtrade status but also the environment, with rigorous standards required for the use of chemicals which is aimed at removing the use of them altogether.
