Another month has passed and we have received some great entries to our proposal story competition. After much consideration, we chose Beth and Richard’s engagement at Lake Como as our winners. Read their story below and we’re sure you’ll understand why we chose them.
Meeting in their first year of university, Beth and Richard became friends long before they started going out. After finally realising that they had both loved each other for most of their friendship, they became a couple and have been together for 6 years since!
Using the ruse of a belated birthday celebration, Richard planned to take Beth out on a boat during their trip to the spectacular Lake Como in Italy. Having little luck with the weather, they finally made it out on the day before they were due to fly home. Assumingly a difficult wait for Richard!
Thinking on his feet, Richard said he had a late birthday present for Beth, but had left the price on, ensuring that she closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was shocked (and a little impressed, given the bobbing boat) to see Richard down on one knee asking her to marry him.
She said yes of course and has shared with us this picturesque photo of them smiling against the backdrop of the beautiful wooded hills surrounding the lake.
Beth’s has a stunning three stone platinum mounted diamond engagement ring.
Beth and Richard’s story of friends that fall in love followed by a perfect engagement trip was a great winning story and we are looking forward to helping them to find their wedding rings with a £100 voucher towards them.
