At Charles Nobel, we love a proposal story. There are so many plans that go into that ‘big moment’ and we wanted to hear about your experiences so that we can share and inspire others. With this in mind, we launched our monthly competition, offering couples the chance to win £100 towards their wedding in exchange for sharing their engagement stories with us and our followers.
We received some beautiful entries with some romantic and entertaining stories, but there was one which we fell in love with. Our winners Karen and David had a heartwarming New York proposal story which made all of us at Charles Nobel smile.
Karen and David had been working together for two years before they become a couple. Nine years later, he popped the question.
We can’t think of a much more romantic setting than New York in the snow and this was the scene for Karen and David’s movie perfect engagement. Walking across Manhattan, the couple were caught in a snowstorm and took shelter under the arch in Washington Square Park. The moment had arrived. Completely unaware of David’s plans, Karen was sent off to take a photo of him under the arch. When she returned, David was ready with the ring and Karen was thrilled to say yes!
Karen and David settled on a bespoke Oval diamond engagement ring from Charles Nobel. We can tell from the smile on Karen’s face in their engagement selfie that she loves it! If you want to find out more about our Tailor made services, visit our bespoke engagement ring page.
It was a tough call as there were several fantastic stories to choose from. However, overall the consensus is that Karen and David’s romantic proposal story is the winner of March’s competition and we are delighted to give them £100 towards their wedding rings.
